Thank you for staying with us!

Greenwell Point – the crowning jewel of the River & Coastal Plains of the Shoalhaven.

Our beautiful township started life as the Shoalhaven’s earliest port in 1822. After the Shoalhaven to Crookhaven River Canal was cut (1879) Greenwell Point became the fourth busiest port in NSW. As a result the Greenwell Point wharf and Crookhaven Lighthouse were built.

Today it is a fishing village with the local fleet based opposite us on the wharf supplying our neighbour ‘Pelican Rocks’ with the produce for their multi National award winning Fish ’n’ Chips. Home to oyster fetches that are world renowned, our fresh seafood reflects the local character and flavours of the waterway.

Ideal for relaxing stays, with the quiet and laid-back atmosphere of the fishing village just waiting to be soaked up. We are also ideally situated for exploring the Shoalhaven and Crookhaven rivers, Comerong Island, unique villages like Pyree and Terrara, and the beachside towns of Currarong and Culburra, all just a stone’s throw away.

"Lovely View"

We had a quick overnight stay here while attending a wedding. The hosts are very welcoming and happy to recommend places to eat etc. the room was very clean and had a lively view of the wharf where the fishing boats come in. It was also very quiet. Be aware that some of the rooms are only accessed via stairs so if this is a problem for you make sure to ask for a downstairs room. All in all a lovely stay and I would definitely return.

"Good value, relaxing, friendly"

On a three week holiday through NSW, the Anchor Bay Motel was the best value accommodation encountered in this price range on the whole trip. I stayed 3 nights. The room was bright, clean, and fresh, with natural light from two directions, and had an inviting verandah to sit outside.

"“Extremely Comfortable”"

We were extremely pleased with our accommodation. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It isn't luxury but it isn't a luxury price. The host could not have been more helpful or pleasant, even helping with our luggage. We stayed in the access room and found it very pleasant. The kitchen is small but functional and the beds were super comfortable. I would doubt you could better the cleanliness and comfort for the price. Highly recommended.
