In short, nearly everything will be closed on Christmas Day. We have found a couple of restaurants in the area that have indicated that they will be open, and there details are towards the bottom…
Some plans would be to order up some prawns and oysters from Jim Wild for pick up on the 24th. Or get some supplies from the butcher and IGA on the 24th. We have a shared BBQ on site, and there are free electric BBQ’s in the park opposite.
Now for the openers, and bookings are required:-
Eastern Tiger Restaurant, Nowra (Ex Servicemans Club)
Leaf Thai, Nowra
Bee Thai, Nowra
Best wishes for a wonderful festive season,

Anchor Bay Motel
I have stayed at the Anchor Bay twice now, it is convenient and away from suburbia of Nowra and is right on the water at Greenwell Point. The rooms are always tidy, smelling fresh with very clean linen and blankets (I liked the low setting on the electric blanket - just enough for my aching back) and the coffee tea facilities well appointed. It is a must to walk along the walkway from the jetty to the end and back before breakfast. The fresh sea breeze and brisk walk does you the world of good. The manager is always polite, courteous and ever helpful with our needs. The jetty and boat ramp are great for pictures and looking back on Coolongata Mountain at Shoalhaven. The free picnic BBQ and tables are an added bonus across the road with a great Fish & Chip shop on the corner. We will be back again, for sure.5 / 5 stars
Third stay here and always a pleasure. It is by no means a Shangri-La but the motel is very clean, beds comfortable and a small kitchenette very useful. Rob was fantastic and helpful even upgrading my aged mother in laws room that was more user friendly for an older person. No hesitation recommending this motel in a this lovely peaceful...5 / 5 stars
Very neat and comfortable room and room facilities. Excellent service. Great views of the river and marina. Surrounding garden very neat and pretty. Great for a short break or business stay. Lovely walks and fishing opportunities. Will definitely return to this place.5 / 5 stars
We booked for one night as part of a weekend away from Sydney. After a day on a motorbike, we were very tired and ready for a hot shower. Rob welcomed us with open arms, instantly making us feel at home. He helped us with dinner recommendations and local sites.5 / 5 stars
We wanted a quiet place to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we weren't disappointed. The motel was very clean, with modern furnishings and very comfortable. Room rate was good value. Hosts were friendly and helpful and the location of our second level room (#10) had an excellent view of the jetty and river surroundings.5 / 5 stars
