» We have just returned from a lovely stay at the Anchor Bay at Greenwell Point. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and the rooms are clean and well appointed. The location is lovely directly across from the water. We had 8 rooms for the weekend for a family wedding nearby and all were very happy with the accommodation. Highly recommended!

» We were lucky enough to discover the Anchor Bay Motel and its delightful cottage in October this year – what a perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries! The spotless, refurbished cottage has all the comforts of home with a wonderful view down to the water from the deck. Jeni and Gary have thought of everything and are very warm and welcoming hosts with a wide knowledge of the local area. We would certainly recommend this destination to anyone travelling to the Shoalhaven area.

» Over the last yearI worked on the final draft of my novel Cold Light due out in November while at the Anchor Bay Motel in the cottage. I returned a couple of times to work there and found not only the location great for a writing retreat (good places to eat close by especially the Bowling Club) but Jeni and Garry were supportive in many small ways, Garry gives a great tutorial on the oyster.

» My husband was doing some contract work with Defence at HMAS Albatross just south of Nowra. We managed to find this wonderful motel in Greenwell Point, some 15 minutes to the east of Nowra.
We drove down through the paddocks and into the peaceful seaside village of Greenwell Point and our hotel. We were met by Jen – a lovely & very helpful host. We were allocated Room 7 – on the ground floor with a river view. We even had a table with two chairs out the front.
The room was very clean and well appointed – even some mugs for tea and coffee. The bathroom had a large shower cubicle & a window sill for all our bathroom paraphernalia!
The motel staff were terrific – always on hand with information about where I could go and what I could see. Nothing was too much trouble.
We will be staying here the next time Steve has to come to work at HMAS Albatross.

» A warm friendly welcome was provided to us when we arrived at the Anchor Bay. The motel rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. We were fortunate enough to get a room with a fabulous view of the harbour and sea. The motel proved to be a great base from which to explore the area, with Jervis Bay beaches just a short drive. Hosts Garry and Jenni provided us with lots of great local knowledge to help us make the most of our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the personal touch really makes a difference to a holiday. It was excellent value for money. Greenwell Point is a lovely little fishing village and it and the Anchor Bay are both little oasis in the midst of a beautiful part of the world.

» This was a real find: 5 star accommodation for 2 star price!! If you like a nice, quiet place, this is it. Lovely decorated, airy rooms with great views, either over the bay or the garden. And the most friendly and helpful hosts added to it. Nice area to walk, fish or boat. Nowra close by, explore the surroundings. We HAVE to go back there. Thanks Garry and Jeni.

» Anchor Bay Motel is located in a quiet coastal village and is well located for local restaurants and shops. Our room, which was spacious, clean and comfortable, benefited from basic self-catering facilities. Our hosts, Jeni and Garry, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. They genuinely did everything possible to ensure that we enjoyed our stay – which was certainly the case! We recommend this excellent value motel unreservedly.

» For the past year I have been a regular visitor to the South Coast on business. I discovered the Anchor Bay Motel at Greenwell Point early last year and was so impressed with the rooms and location I have made it my base. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and impeccable and the position near the water, wharf and park give me respite after a busy day. But the really special part is Garry and Jeni, the friendliest moteliers you are ever likely to meet. I cannot recommend this motel highly enough.

» This is the second time we have visited this little gem on the South Coast, and it was as beautiful as the first time. It was our wedding anniversary and the waterfront deluxe room was perfect. The view over the water is spectacular and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful. We spent lazy days at the beach and walking in the national park and enjoyed a lovely meal at Pelican Rocks. A wonderful escape from the rat race…and excellent value.

» To Jeni and Garry. Just wanted to drop a line to say thank you for your hospitalilty. We really enjoyed ourselves and followed your tips on things to do. Hired a boat and explored the river and ate at Pelican Rocks. To be honest we can’t wait to get back there. We really had a lovely time. Dave and I have always driven past Nowra, to stay in Huskisson. Staying in Greenwell will definitely change that, you truly have paradise right on your doorstep.

» We stayed at the cottage attached to the motel complex and it was wonderful! Water views from the verandah, the cottage was gorgeous, had everything we needed and the decor was beautiful. So close to the beach and shops, didn’t want to leave!
