Woohoo. Our Deluxe Rooms now have reverse-cycle air conditioners and digital televisions. Such luxury, such style.

The Anchor Bay Cottage also has a new reverse-cycle air conditioner and digital television – installed December 15! It is still available for a seven night stay from January 3.

We still have a few gaps in the motel rooms from December 23 to January 15. Call us if you require specific dates because we just might be able to squeeze you in!

St George Women in Business lunch

The Anchor Bay Motel’s display at the St George Bank Women in Business lunch on October 19, 2011. The motel was one of several businesses to donate prizes, with all proceeds going to breast cancer research. It was a grand affair with 46 lovely ladies – all in pink – in attendance at the Butterfactory at Jindyandy. We’ll be there again next year!

REVIEW: Over the last year I worked on the final draft of my novel Cold Light due out in November while at the Anchor Bay Motel in the cottage. I returned a couple of times to work there and found not only the location great for a writing retreat (good places to eat close by especially the Bowling Club) but Jeni and Garry were supportive in many small ways, Garry gives a great tutorial on the oyster. Bird talk

We’re a friendly lot at Greenwell Point. This fluffy little fellow dropped in this morning and demanded a feed. Garry had him eating out of the palm of his hand. He loved the chicken; he wasn’t so keen on the Jatz! The birdlife in Greenwell Point is truly amazing …. from the cheeky kookaburras to the majestic Pelicans, from the playful parrots to the carroling currawongs. Come and see it for yourself.
