Attractions and Activities
Greenwell Point is renowned for its seafood, in particular its superb local Sydney Rock Oysters. You can buy the seafood fresh or cooked, with several outlets within an easy stroll of the motel. For something special, Pelican Rocks Seafood Restaurant is next door, boasting fabulous views across the Shoalhaven (open Wednesday to Saturday). The Greenwell Point Hotel is just 50 metres away, offering great bistro meals. The Greenwell Point Bowling Club, just a two-minute free bus ride away, has a fabulous Chinese restaurant and the Salt & Pepper bistro.
Greenwell Point is a fisherman’s paradise with bait, tackle, boat and canoe hire available next door to the motel. Learn about the best fishing spots, what bait to use and later swap stories with Garry about the one that got away. For the serious fisherman, Silver Star fishing charters will take you out into the deep blue.
If you’re more in the mood for a sail, waterski or gentle kayak, the beautiful Shoalhaven River is the place to be.
Immediately in front of the motel is a park with children’s play equipment, a beach and a 25-metre swimming pool.
Looking for a surf? The surf beaches (and still-water of Callala Beach on Jervis Bay) are just 10 to 15 minutes away.
If you want to venture further afield, the motel is within easy reach of Nowra, Berry, Kangaroo Valley, Coolangatta, Shoalhaven Heads, Huskisson and Vincentia.
You’re also just 15-minutes drive from the spectacular Jervis Bay National Park, including Callala Beach and Point Perpendicular. The Anchor Bay Motel is the closest motel to the northern side of Jervis Bay.
There are three golf courses within a 10-minute radius – Worrigee Links, Callala Golf Club and Nowra Golf Club.
And it’s just a short drive to the Worrigee House Reception Centre and Worrigee Equestrian Centre.
